Improving road safety in the City

I attended the Court of Common Council (the City of London’s full Council meeting) this lunchtime. Deputy Joyce Nash raised the question of safety at Bank Junction following the coroner’s img_6872court inquest into Ying Tao’s tragic death last year. The City of London has plans to ban all traffic apart from bikes and buses from 7am-7pm from next year which you can read about at All Change at Bank.

As a regular cyclist in the City I’m very conscious of the need to improve safety on our ancient roads.  I therefore support the plans to develop Bank in this way. Do let me know your thoughts about this development.
