Exploring the Heath

It was a beautiful morning to learn more about managing Hampstead Heath. I was recently elected onto the Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood and Queen’s Park Committee which oversee the City of London’s management of these Open Spaces. The Heath is such a varied space with so many different activities and users. The City of London runs the Heath and 13 other open spaces in and around London. We invest in these resources which are used by all Londoners. Do let me know if you have any ideas about how to improve the Heath.

I love swimming in London’s lidos and enjoyed a dip after my tour of the Heath.  I live near Brockwell Park Lido and it was lovely to see Parliament Hill Lido, which is almost a sister to it as they were built at around the same time.

Views and athletics. I’ve enjoyed the Heath since visiting as a child regularly as my great Aunt lived nearby.  The Corporation supports the Heath through funding the open space and preserving it for future generations of Londoners to enjoy.

Meeting the Heath constabulary which the Corporation also funds to keep the Heath safe for visitors.
