My introduction to the Court of Common Council

Today I was introduced to the Lord Mayor by the Ward of Tower Deputy, Roger Chadwick, at the Court of Common Council.

In addition to a gown I was appointed to the Hampstead Heath Committee which I’m greatly looking forward to serving on after many happy visits to the Heath in my childhood.

The majority of the meeting was spent debating whether to send back a decision on road closures near the Inns of Court related to the North/South cycle superhighway. The Court supported further consideration of this matter including further consultation of those it would impact.

The Court also heard from the Lord Mayor and the Chairman of Policy and Resources on activities which support the position of the Corporation of the City of London that the UK should remain in the EU.

As you can see it will be a wide a varied job!
